‘The Batman’ director Matt Reeves has turned in his first draft of the script
    Batman
In August, The Batman writer and director Matt Reeves said that he’d be turning in the first draft of the script soon. Then we heard it wouldn’t be until after Labor Day on September 3rd, and now The Wrap’s Umberto Gonzalez is reporting that Reeves did indeed turn in his script this month.
With the script on Warner Bros.’ hands, hopefully we’ll be hearing some casting news soon. There’s already been a lot of rumors, most recently it was that Game of Thrones star Kit Harington was on WB’s radar to play the Dark Knight. Last month Reeves said he hopes to start shooting The Batman in “the spring or early summer” of 2019, so expect official updates to come soon.
And speaking of official updates, there aren’t too many official details known about The Batman. The Penguin has been rumored as the villain from reliable sources. And Reeves himself has said that the movie will be a “point of view noir-driven definitive Batman story in which he is investigating a particular case and that takes us out into the world of Gotham,” so that’s very exciting!
